In September we had a road trip covering 1600+ miles across 2 countries (England and Scotland).

Day 1: Brighton to Keele stopping at Baddesley Clinton on the way

Day 2: Keele to Butterwick, Cumbria via Grizedale

Day 3: Staying at Rosie’s barn with a day spent around Ullswater and High Cascade Falls

Day 4: Lakes to Loch Long stopping at Chatelherault Country Park

Days 5 and 6: Staying at Forest Holidays in Loch Long exploring the local area twice, following a guided walk and visiting Loch Lomond.

Day 7: Loch Long to Dundee stopping at Gartmorn Dam Country Park on the way

Days 8, 9 and 10: Staying at our friends’ house in Dundee. Spending time at Tentsmuir forest, Crombie Country Park and Broughty Ferry

Day 11: Dundee to Gateshead stopping off at Kielder Forest

Day 12: Visiting Gibside and Dunston Staithes

Day 13: Gateshead to Peak District stopping at Fountains Abbey

Day 14: Following a walk around Buxton Country Park

Day 15: Peak District to Brighton with a break at Rutland Water

We stayed at 6 different places: a hotel, a Forest Holidays resort, a friend’s house, and 3 Airbnb places.
