This is Zoe 102. The key data has been collected and it’s now time to experiment.

There were 5 days of suggested challenges, and a whole library of others to try. I did quite a bit of experimenting.

I’ve learned that what I thought I knew about healthy food options needs some adjusting to work with my blood sugar levels. Blood sugar is only one of the variables we’re interested in with Zoe but it’s also the only one with such an easy monitoring system.

Examples:

  • My “healthy” lunch of whole meal pitta, falafel, hummus, tomato and avocado caused me to have a spike.
  • My afternoon snack of mince pie, brandy cream, hot chocolate with baileys in didn’t. It didn’t cause a dip either.

Just a couple of examples that left me scratching my head in confusion.

I’m looking forward to getting my results and seeing some suggestions. And I must admit that I leave Zoe 102 feeling quite confused.
