A good morning walk at Pentire, taking in the rugged, rocky nature. There’s also a lovely National Trust cafe at the Pentireglaze car park, which even had EV charging.

In the afternoon, we walked from busy Padstow, following a coast with sand dunes. What a contrast to our morning walk! It was still pleasant, but we found Padstow to be a bit overwhelming, especially when we first arrived.

We achieved our goal of eating ‘Forgotten fish’ from Rick Stein’s fish and chip shop. I forgot to ask what the forgotten fish was before ordering, but found out afterwards it was pouting. A perfectly fine offering in a light batter.
