I stumbled across these today after having a google for knitted or crocheted furniture (after seeing these lovely things yesterday). Christien Meindertsma is the artist behind these, and also the knitted aran rug which is part of the Power of Making exhibition.

They are "100% wool from new zealand, handknitted in the netherlands" and are available from Thomas Eyck in the Netherlands and look amazing.

The thing is, I can't work out if one on its own would be as effective as having a whole collection of them in the three different sizes (s, m, l)
