Today’s walk: Prawle Point
Today’s walk was another one from the book Devon: 40 Coast and Country walks , chosen because the forecast said this part of Devon had the best chance of drying out as the day went on. It was a soggy start, so we were all decked out in waterproofs, but as the weather cleared, my waterproof trousers got stuffed back into the bag. Along the way, we met Andy and Ted and heard about their journey around the UK coast. Andy seemed surprised by how ‘uppy downy’ the Devon coast is and how slow the going can be. We wished them well as they headed off over a hilltop. The coastline here is rugged and challenging in parts, but stunningly beautiful.
