After our time exploring Cornwall and then Somerset, it was time to head back home. I’d originally planned to stop at Stourhead, but the National Trust app warned us it was closed because of high winds. So, Mottisfont it was. As soon as we arrived, I realised I’d actually been before — about five years ago — when I enjoyed seeing the winter garden. This time, the path along the water was closed, again due to the winds, but we still had a good walk around the rest of the estate.
