Today’s walk: Montacute
The day started with cloud and drizzle, and the forecast threatened heavy rain for the afternoon. We figured Glastonbury Tor probably wouldn’t be at its best, so we headed to a nearby National Trust spot, Montacute, instead.
We followed a signposted walk up to St Michael’s Hill – a four-kilometre route that includes both a decent hill and a folly. That’s a winning combination for us, and it certainly proved to be one. We just had time to grab a coffee from the café and get a stamp for Breezy’s Pooch Passport before the rain finally came down, sending us back to our accommodation for an afternoon indoors.
I loved that they described this as a “wibbly wobbly hedge”
