We’re in Cornwall for a week and after a long drive yesterday, we wanted somewhere close by to explore. Lanhydrock is less than half an hour away and in the direction we wanted to go, so off we went. The first thing we saw was a poster telling us the Pooch Passport scheme is back for the autumn and winter season. First stamp achieved, a nice little bonus! That might influence a few more of our outings as the week goes on, we’ll see.

Today we followed a red-signed walk around the grounds and along the river.

As we turned one corner, a deer scampered across the path and into the distance. I never get tired of seeing them, they’re so agile and graceful.

After a now-traditional cauliflower pasty and a coffee, we had a walk around the beautiful gardens before heading back to our cabin. A great outing.
