Today’s walk: Estate Walk at Scotney Castle
Scotney Castle is a convenient place to break our journey back from Richard’s folks in Margate. After a brief look around in December, we decided it was worth a longer visit.
It was a beautiful afternoon to walk around the estate, encountering many different varieties of mud — slippy, wet, sticky. We also found an ice-covered pond, which the dog, of course, had to investigate. As we wandered through the woodland, great tits, robins, and song thrushes made sure their friends knew we were there.
A great place for an explore.
