Sitting in the cabin, watching the rain, we checked the weather. The Met Office map suggested an area might give us an hour or two of dry weather, so we decided to go for it. By combining their map with the National Trust app, Carnewas at Bedruthan looked like our best bet. So that’s where we went.

Pulling into the car park, it felt familiar. I had a feeling we’d been here before. It was still a glorious walk and the sun even came out for a little while. We didn’t get it completely right (a quick rain shower found us), but compared to what we’d driven through, it felt like a real success.
