Today, we skipped the car and decided to walk from the house into Brixham, find breakfast, and then head along the coast path. We had a couple of breakfast spots in mind, but neither worked out—luckily, the lovely people at La Petite Maison came to our rescue with some tasty options. Once satisfied, we set off along the path, first reaching the calm, gentle Churston Cove, and then Elberry Cove with its strange building on the waterline, where we sat for a while, watching the sea and even spotting a seal bobbing by.

Originally, we planned to stop at Broadsands Beach and take a bus back, but since we were all feeling good, we carried on and decided to hop on the steam train from Paignton to Kingswear. Breezy wasn’t phased at all and was keen to look out of the window, watching the world go by. From Kingswear, we jumped on a bus—probably Breezy’s favorite mode of transport—back to Brixham. We had to wait about fifteen minutes for another bus to arrive so the driver could join us, and that time felt like something straight out of a sitcom, with passengers chatting away and the lady behind us showing off photos of what she claimed wereKorean Crows.
