I don’t remember Bodiam Castle being on the Pooch Passport list last year, but it’s there now. I started by pulling out a few of our East Sussex walking guidebooks, where I found four routes, ranging from a mile and a half to seven miles. In the end, Richard plotted a combination of a couple of the shorter ones, coming in around five kilometres. It was absolutely lovely. It had everything: views of the landscape, a walk past alpacas, through an orchard, into the woodland, and right beneath a massive horse chestnut tree. What a great route! We finished it off with a walk around the castle grounds.
