Today’s walk came from a newly bought book, South Devon: Great short walks for all the family , and was inspired by being in Agatha Christie country. Burgh Island, , which is visible and accessible from Bigbury-on-Sea, is the setting for two of her stories and was a favorite spot of hers in the 1930s. The walk itself was fun, and we had the lovely Ayrmer Cove entirely to ourselves, before heading down into the busier Challaborough Bay, where surfers were out in full force.
