Today’s Walk: Balcombe to Haywards Heath
Last week, while planning our Balcombe Lake and Wakehurst Place walk, I came across a suggestion to walk from one train station to another. That always feels like a bit of an adventure, so today we planned a route and set off.
We followed the edge of Ardingly Reservoir for about half the walk. It was peaceful and cooling, especially on a warm day. I’d only ever explored the part near the car park before, so it was nice to see more of it and broaden our horizons.
The rest of the route took us through woodland, past a view of the viaduct, and across a golf course. The path through the course was well hidden and didn’t feel too much like a golf course, which they sometimes can.
Another great walk, varied and full of interest.
