I got some plums in last week’s Oddbox delivery and thought I’d see what bakes I could use them in. This one sounded tasty, so I gave it a try. I had a bit of an ‘over pulsing’ moment with the food processor and so didn’t end up with crumble - it passed straight over into a dough. As a result, I was missing the two tablespoons of crumble to sprinkle over the top at the final stage. So I made do with the flaked almonds instead. It tastes great, a lovely mixture of sweetness with a hint of tartness from the plums, and delivered in a bakewell tart style. So a success despite a minor mishap.
