Time spent in Hull
The first few days of my holiday were spent in Hull — a Hulliday?
I caught up with a friend and a cousin, tried some new (to me) cafes and restaurants, and laid some flowers in the garden of remembrance where I’d scattered my parents’ ashes.
It’s been a few years since we last visited, and even longer since we stayed in the city. It was fun exploring as someone who’s part native, part tourist. I know the layout of the city, and most of the infrastructure and architecture is familiar, but some of the buildings now house new things. I also noticed it felt more dog-friendly than before, which was obviously very helpful!
