I enjoyed this a lot, it kept me coming back to it whenever I could find some spare moments. And in fact spent hours at a time putting off everything else so I could read ‘just one more page’. It was written very descriptively - a bit Daphne Du Maurier in that way - and I always enjoy that. I didn’t feel like I knew the characters that well, probably because of the story it was, but I did feel like I knew the Ivy House, and it was a character in it’s own right.
