We were walking Breezy in the Sussex countryside when I looked up at the footpath sign and noticed something different. It didn’t just say South Downs Way, but also “Western Hemisphere” and “Eastern Hemisphere.” We’ve crossed the meridian line many times before, sometimes deliberately, and other times, like this time, without giving it a thought. It was a fun find and led to a quick check of the OS map to get our bearings and make sure we understood what we were seeing.
