I listened to this as an audiobook while I was on holiday. We’d just finished his autobiography as an audiobook, so some of the similarities between Bob’s life and Gary’s character were really obvious. I don’t think I would have picked up on them if we hadn’t heard them one after the other.

A while back, we also listened to Hotel Avocado, which is the next book in the series. So we ended up listening to them in the wrong order! It was good for filling in the back story. Like before, I loved hearing the different context with a different voice now and then.

The book is full of Bob’s charming and ridiculous metaphors, making it an entertaining listen. I enjoyed it, but it wasn’t a very memorable story
