We listened to this one as an audiobook, mostly while driving places. Unfortunately, our car hit a lamppost and is now off the road we’ve had a month-long gap in the listening because of this. I’m not sure if that made the difference or not, but it didn’t grab me as much as previous books in this series have done. That’s a shame, because I looked forward to this one and we pre-ordered it months ago. I’m not even sure I can pinpoint what the problem is. Maybe we’ve got to know the characters so well that there’s no surprise left.
