A perfect bank holiday read in which I lost myself for hours. I had intended to go and see the film, but a review I heard recommended the book instead so that’s what I went for. I did, however, still see Emma Thompson as Fiona in my mind’s eye, and having seen a trailer and/or clips of the film it was her voice I heard as well. It’s a well told tale, beautifully descriptive, and raises some interesting questions.
