I spotted this book on the shelves in the Barbican’s shop after visiting the Bauhaus exhibition and thought it might be quite an accessible introduction style text. The copy in the Barbican was shrink wrapped and I couldn’t flick through the pages. If I could have done I probably wouldn’t have bought it. It is a well written and researched book but I struggled with the quality of the imagery - some have some very noticeable pixelation going on - and the choice of font which has a w looking very similar to vv. Not often a problem but difficult to discern with people’s names, and a distraction much of the time. In summary, nicely laid out, a decent amount of content and information for the cost, but let down by some poor images and a poor font choice.
