The reading experience

I found this to be an easy read with short chapters meaning it was easy to pick up and put down. There’s a good use of case studies throughout the text which makes it easier to understand.

The methodology

This doesn’t feel like it would work for all sizes of companies and all types of businesses. It is what basecamp does (or at least did at the time of writing) and should probably be treated as nothing more than a series of blog posts rather than a methodology to jump on board with.

As a QA I’m not particularly comfortable as being described as a “level-up” rather than a core member of the team but I guess I would say that!

I did like the idea of a 6 week productive cycle with a 2 week cooldown to follow as it can all feel a bit relentless sometimes.

It gets 4 stars based on readability rather than content in this instance
