Book review: Sacred Country by Rose Tremain
Rating: 3 out of 5
It turns out that I’m finding writing a review of this tricky.
I wanted to like this more than I did. It is well written and the stories of the characters and how they interact is nicely told. But I just didn’t engage with any of the characters that much. They all felt a little bit like they were holding themselves back. Which I guess is the point. Hmm!
I don’t regret reading this, and it is worth the time, I just didn’t enjoy it or engage with it as much as I’d have liked.
