Pinakothek der Moderne, Munich
Whilst we were in Munich the other month we spent a few hours in the Pinakothek der Moderne. I very much enjoyed pottering around the, surprisingly large, International design museum section
and was rather taken with the simplicity, yet effectiveness of this window display by Veronkia Kellndorfer
But, above all else, I thought the building was beautiful. I loved the lightness of it, the simplicity of it, the fact it’s made out of concrete and yet is such a unoppressive and unpretentious place to spend some time.
If it were in Brighton, I can imagine me popping in there often to make use of the cafe and the beautiful atrium to sit and read, or craft, or just take some time out in a pleasant and peaceful environment.
