Book review: Our Songbirds: A Songbird for Every Week of the Year by Matt Sewell
Rating: 5 out of 5
Another beautiful book by Matt Sewell. Tho I think calling all of these songbirds is pushing it a bit. Charming illustrations and interesting words. This has been read in episodic format - a few songbirds liked at every week - which suits this.
Notes taken while reading:
On the Peregrine Falcon
Not only is it the fastest bird in Britain, it’s the fastest animal on the planet and the only sentient being that can break the sound barrier.
On the Dartford Warbler
Like a singing thistle in a bobble hat.
