Book review: No. More. Plastic. What you can do to make a difference by Martin Dorey
Rating: 4 out of 5
A quick and easy read full of ideas of the difference that I, as a consumer, can make to reduce the amount of plastic being used. Some of the things come down to convenience, and this quote “We need to free ourselves from the tyranny of convenience” is one that I keep thinking about. I’m lucky to live in a city which has a few different zero-waste or low-waste shops - I need to make going there more of a habit. At the moment it feels more like a treat (which is positive in its own way).
There’s a handy list of 30 things to do at the back of the book which provides a great starting point and a good summary of the small changes that are mentioned in the book.

The Great Pacific Garbage Patch is estimated to cover an area extending to as much as 1,500,000 square kilometres. That’s more than 60 times the size of the UK’s landmass.
