The photography is beautiful but I felt this book was lacking context. I don’t know where these photos were taken. I don’t know what the story behind the place is.

It reminds me of “Abandoned Places: 60 stories of places where time has stopped”. I’ve just found my copy of that book and flicked through it again. It still gives me goosebumps. In part, I suspect, because there are explanations behind each photo and so it is easy to tell which go together.

I love the idea of nature taking back its spaces. I love the idea of this book. I just wish I had more details about the places.
