Rating: 4 out of 5

Having read other peoples reviews I had high expectations for this book. This was the first of the D. D. Warren books I’ve read and I was hoping for something like the Tess Gerritsen series. Maybe it would have helped to have read the earlier books but the characters didn’t make me care enough for them. The story was good, and the interweaving between narrative and first person worked well. It was well executed but I just didn’t care enough to get the most out of it. Which seems like a bit of a shame.
