Nicely put together book combining historical facts and historical suppositions to try and get to the bottom of just what happened to Mallory and Irvine. This was an Amazon recommendation and it was worth reading. I’ve read a lot about Scott and Shackleton’s adventures but not much about Mallory so it feels like this has filled a gap. It’s very readable and a well written balance. The only annoyance is that the markup of the kindle version’s references is wrong so that it’s impossible to highlight favourite lines after a reference has been made in a chapter.
