Book review: Islands of Abandonment: Life in the Post-Human Landscape by Cal Flyn
Rating: 5 out of 5
Fascinating. I’ve long been interested in what happens to places when humans step away and have seen a few coffee table photo books of nature reclaiming abandoned spaces. This takes it to a different level. Not in photos but in words. Some positives where nature is rebounding. Some where life has been scoured from the surface. Ultimately a positive book.
