It’s been many years since I last read a Discworld novel and I’d never read this one. So when I was looking for some Christmas reading I thought I’d give this a try.

The familiar wonderful use of language is present and I chuckled often. I just didn’t engage that well with the story. Perhaps it’s because I’ve had such a long absence from the Discworld universe and had forgotten the back stories of some of the characters - and this novel features a lot of them!
