Rating: 4 out of 5

An entertaining read with reasonable characters. Not as gripping as the Jefferson Tayte books by Steve Robinson which are definitely in a similar theme. Not sure I’m interested enough in the characters to read the rest in the series, but as a cheap offer from Amazon it was worth the reading time.

Highlighted passage:

He remembered the way that his mother used to carefully iron the household’s clothing every Monday night without fail, including the underwear. She even ironed tea-towels and pillow cases.
