Rating: 5 out of 5

A birthday gift from a friend. I hadn’t come across this book, or jomny sun, before. But it’s beautiful. Lovely, simple illustrations. Some glorious words. Some delightful, and felt truth, thoughts. So much so that no sooner had I finished it than I picked it up and read it again.

Highlighted passages:

introverts enjoy people-watching. extroverts enjoy people watching

A friend is anyone or anything that shares a life with u that u would never be able to experience without them

When two aliens find each other in a strange place, it feels a little more like home

if ur always happy are u ever truly happy, or is happiness only something we see in you because we know sadness

lets just be thankful that we get to be on earth at the same time as everybody we get to meet

I guess its impossible to understand the meaning of home until a place you called home loses its meaning

the harder it is to say goodbye to somebody, the luckier you are to have met somebody you’re going to miss

we internalise traits we observe in others as a way to honour and remember them. We are all living memorials

I am just being happy that I get to feel sad

the best gifts are not things you give somebody but things you share with somebody

if you replace ‘I have to’ with ‘I get to’ then human life becomes AMAZING
