Book review: Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman
Rating: 5 out of 5
When I started this review it was a 4 star book. While thinking about it to write about it became a 5 star book. Funny how that works. And it gained that extra star for the profound feeling of gratitude it left me with.
Eleanor is a hard character to like. Deliberately. Unsurprisingly. She is well written to make her so. And I appreciate a well written character, tho I usually prefer one I find easy to like. And that probably says more about me than her.
I’ll be interested to see how this gets translated to film as it feels a very nuanced, internal, kind of tale.
