Rating: 3 out of 5

My first Philip K Dick novel and I decided to start with the one that inspired Bladerunner (which I now want to watch again). It is well written with rich descriptions and has a good storyline. I didn’t find myself getting involved with the characters that much which stopped it being a compulsive page turner. However, I’ve read this in frequent short, pre sleep, bursts and I suspect that if I’d sat down with it and a cup of tea for a few hours at a time I may have a different view on that aspect. Overall though a good read.
