As we walked along one of the paths in the forest, I could see, in the distance, something fluttering around a tree. Initially, I thought it must be a butterfly, but it seemed a bit constrained in how far it travelled. But then leaves don’t float upwards. So what was going on?

As we got closer, it became apparent that this was a leaf. A leaf caught somehow. An investigation from a few metres away still didn’t reveal what was going on. By this point, I didn’t really need to know. But instead chose to stand for a few minutes and appreciate the beauty of the unknown.

I left it dancing and we continued on with our dog walk.
