Brighton Hippodrome is one of the buildings that has been closed pretty much during my life in this city - it was still open as a Bingo Hall when I first arrived, but Bingo isn’t my thing. I’ve walked past the outside of it loads of times and have often wondered what was inside. I was grateful to spot a news article which mentioned that it was to be opened to the public on Thursday and Friday. I was able to head down there, and took Richard with me. What a beautiful building. I hope they can sort out the planning permission and the finances and continue the restoration project because I’d love to be able to see someone perform there.
