There are some wonderful parts of this graphic novel, some beautiful pages which made me stop and stare a while. But I didn’t emotionally engage with the characters particularly, and so I didn’t get swept away by the tale. Which disappointed me as I find graphic novels often do have that ability. It’s been a while since I read a graphic novel, and so it was fun to revisit the format.
