I’ve been meaning to read a Dorothy Koomson book for a while, especially since she has a connection to Brighton. So I grabbed this short story from the Prime lending library.

I’m not usually a fan of short stories because I never feel like I get a chance to properly get to know the characters. This was a reasonable read. The cast of characters was small, and the dual timeline was pleasing enough, but it was so quick that it wasn’t particularly fulfilling. It’s probably not fair to judge her longer books on this one, so I’ll still keep her on my “to read sometime” list.
