Book review: A Winter Book by Tove Jansson
Rating: 3 out of 5
I think I bought this as a kindle 99p special deal and I bought it because the only stories I know of Tove Jansson are the Moomin tales. It was interesting to read her short stories about herself. They are beautifully written but they are short stories, and as I’ve said time and time again, short stories just don’t engage me and excite me, and these are sufficiently different to not just be chapters in a larger work. Worth reading tho’

You can close your mind to things if something is important enough. It works very well. You make yourself very small, shut your eyes tight and say a big word over and over again until you’re safe.
if one doesn’t dare to do something immediately, then one never does it.
