Book review: A Very Merry Murder (Malvern Farm Mystery, #6) by Kate Wells
Rating: 5 out of 5
A few years ago, I noticed that by December, I’m often tired and really in need of comfort reads. I also realised that some of the Christmas-themed novels can be quite amusing.
That’s exactly what this cozy Christmas crime novel, delivered! An extra bonus was borrowing it through the Prime Lending Library.
I haven’t read anything else by Kate Wells and don’t know the rest of the series, but this worked perfectly as a standalone story for me. I enjoyed the characters.
It’s implausible in many ways (like the police sharing so many details with a member of the public). But, honestly, I was happy to overlook that. I was too busy enjoying December spent on a farm in the Malverns.
Not a classic, but hugely enjoyable.
