We woke up this morning to the sight of snow, which was just amazing! With nothing specific planned for the day, we decided to start with a walk right from the cottage to make the most of the beautiful blue skies and the crispness of the morning.

We got to enjoy some beautiful scenes as we walked. The freezing temperatures had actually done us a favour; they changed the mud we’d battled earlier in the week into a harder surface, which made walking so much easier!

We finished by looping back via the windmill. It looked completely majestic standing against that bright blue sky. What a perfect start to the day.
