Book review: A Cold Wind From Moscow by Rory Clements
Rating: 4 out of 5
An interesting backdrop to a story - the cold winter of 1947 - which became a character itself in the early part of the book. I enjoyed spending time with Tom and found myself still reading after I should have been asleep - usually a sign of good characters for me.
I appreciated the Postscript which gave a little more detail to one of the characters and how real life unfolded for them.
This was my first Tom Wilde novel and I think it would have been a 5 star story had I read the previous books in the series first and been invested and aware of the back stories of the various characters. There were also a couple of areas that weren’t neatly tied up leading me to believe that Tom Wilde, and the other colleagues, friends and family, will reappear.
