On Monday evening, Richard and I went to the FareShare Sussex & Surrey supper club. It was a fundraiser and a great showcase for the work they do across Sussex and Surrey.

One of the things on my main course was labneh. It reminded me that I made some last summer but never quite got around to doing it again. So, this weekend, I did just that.

This time I added a teaspoon and a half of za’atar to the basic mixture. I’ve been enjoying it this morning spread on home-made bread. Just like last time, I deliberately left it long enough to reach a soft, cheese-like consistency (the version we had on Monday was a little softer).

I’m really pleased with how it turned out. Hopefully I’ll remember to make it again soon without needing to be served it somewhere first to remind me it exists.
