Whenever a visit to Margate is on the cards I take a look at what’s on at Turner Contemporary. This time I found David Hockney: Sunley Window 2026, which looked like a good companion to my earlier exhibition visit. It turned out to be exactly that - the image filling the window was part of the same series.

It looked amazing. So vibrant, so big. And I loved the way the coloured light reflected onto the floor and walls.

In the gift shop we came across A Bigger Book (SUMO edition).

It really is a bigger book - it even has fold-out pages for images where that still wasn’t big enough.

Totally impractical to own, in terms of both price and sheer size, but wonderful to leaf through.
