A piece of Aral

Phantom Aral
Originally uploaded by Jane Dallaway
Aral emailed me a while ago to ask for a larger version of this photo. I sent it through to him and he briefly explained what he had planned.

He's just blogged about it. He has split the photo into 100 moo card shaped images, and has produced a moo card mosaic. So, if you meet Aral in the near future, you might get a bit of his face on a moo card.

More Moo cards ordered

I haven't finished off the last lot yet, but having been asked twice in the last two days where my photos can be found whilst I've been taking photos at events, I figured I should have some made with my flickr details on them. So, 100 nice shiny flickr branded Moo cards should be coming my way soon.

Moo Card Holder

From the back, top off
Originally uploaded by Jane Dallaway.

After reading one of the flickr: MOO MiniCards group discussions on Moo card tins I discovered, thanks to SgtRock333 the "Aluminium Portable Ashtray" from Muji to use as a moo card holder. It works really well, and should protect them whilst meaning I don't have to carry around the entire box.

JPG Magazine / Moo cards

When reading one of Jeremy's posts the other day, I stumbled across his link to JPG Magazine. JPG Magazine describes itself as JPG Magazine is for people who love imagemaking without attitude. It's about the kind of photography you get when you love the moment more than the camera. It's for photographers who, like us, have found themselves online, sharing their work, and would like to see that work in print. Seems like a nice idea, so I've just spent the last half an hour reading through stories, and viewing photographs. I like the fact that there is hard copy available too, although admittedly it looks pretty hard to get at in the UK.

He also linked to Moo, whom I had spotted through the flickr link. MOO dreams up new tools that help people turn their virtual content into beautiful print products. It looks like there is some Moo card swapping going on. I'm yet to see any Moo cards in the wild, but they do look cute...
